The Library is located next to the Auditorium and Dining Room.  It is open Monday to Friday from 8.00am until 4.00pm (3.30pm on Fridays).

The Library is also open at break and lunchtime for students to do homework, change books, read quietly, and use computers for college work.

We have a well-stocked Library, with access to desktop PC’s and laptops. Students are encouraged to use the Library regularly and wisely.  It is important to use the Library, not only as an extension to the normal classroom activities and as a resource for spare time interests, but to develop the more individualised approach to learning which is increasingly important at secondary level.

Books are divided into two main sections – Fiction and Non-Fiction.

Fiction books are divided into reading ability levels and then alphabetically by the authors surname within those levels.

Non-Fiction books are arranged by subject in dewey decimal number order.

Students can borrow three books at any one time and items are issued out for two weeks.

Students can also access books to read online by using the VleBooks site.
