15 Year 8 Girls attended Derby University to participate in ‘Girls into STEM’ (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics)

The students had a great day meeting employers and learning about the different routes into jobs that use STEM.

They discovered different apprenticeships that were available to them and took part in a “Create the Best Lubrication” practical session, delivered by Lubrizol. They also learnt how to budget in emergency situations with the help of staff from East Midlands airport. One of the students also got to climb an imaginary mountain with the help of VR!
