Our Year 11 students are at a really important stage in their education, not only is it GCSE year but they need to make extremely important decisions abut their future beyond Springwell Community College.  To help them with this, we held our annual Post 16 Options and Careers Fair.

Local six forms, colleges apprenticeship and training providers were invited to come into college and have a stall where they could advertise their courses and talk to our students about what next steps they had to offer.

The Fair is intended to be a motivational event, offering a chance for our students to meet numerous education and apprenticeship providers all under one roof in just one morning.

Former Springwell students also attended this event representing the educational establishment they had moved on to. They were able to advise and inspire current students on their personal experiences regarding the application process, life at their chosen destination and general top tips for achievement.

Although the event was aimed primarily at Year 11 students, students in Year 10 also had the opportunity to look around and have conversations with stall holders.

Feedback from our Year 11 students said that they found the Fair useful. We hope that it offered students the opportunity to make some informed choices about post-16 careers and education routes.

We would like to thank all of the organisations who gave up their time to provide excellent information and advice to our students.  We would not be able to run this event without your co-operation.
