On Thursday 15 May we had the pleasure of welcoming the Member of Parliament for Chesterfield, Toby Perkins to our college.
Mr Perkins visited to congratulate us on our excellent Ofsted report earlier in the year when the college was judged to be Good in all areas for the first time in its history. As part of his visit, Mr Perkins was quizzed by our new Year 10 House Captains, Angel, Joel, Daisy, Ellie and Amari who asked him about his weekly routine as an MP and about his role in voting about new laws. They also informed him about the recent improvements in the college over their time here.
At the end of the visit Mr Perkins invited them to London to visit the Houses of Parliament and they are very keen to take him up on this kind offer.
