We expect all our students to come to college with the correct uniform and equipment, ready to learn. The following sections provide information on our school uniform, second hand uniform supply and what equipment we expect students to have.
We pride ourselves on high uniform standards at Springwell Community College and will insist on perfect uniform, not nearly perfect but perfect. This is because we want children at Springwell to be proud. Evidence suggests that sloppy uniforms lead to sloppy behaviour and sloppy learning habits for many students. Where students fail to meet our expectations in this area they may not be admitted into lessons until this is resolved.

The PE Faculty maintain Springwell’s high standards of uniform at all times. Therefore, students are required to bring the required kit to ALL of their PE lessons.
- Black College Sports T-Shirt*
- Black Shorts/Tracksuit Bottoms or Sports Leggings (items of branded sportswear are permitted)
- Black Sports Sweatshirt/Tracksuit Top suitable for sports
- Sports Trainers
Gum shields in contact sports are highly recommended.
If your child is unable to take part in PE they are still expected to bring their PE kit and get changed as normal. They will be given a role to fulfill within the lesson, such as coach, time keeper or umpire.

In order to be ready to learn, students must bring a bag to college big enough to fit the following items in:
- 100% portfolio
- Clear plastic pencil case
- 2 black pens
- 1 purple pen
- 2 pencils
- A ruler
- An eraser
- Reading book
- Springwell ID card

Uniform is available to purchase from Pinders SchoolWear shop on West Mall, Crystal Peaks, Sheffield or directly from the Aston Factory shop.
The Crystal Peaks Shop is open 9am – 5pm everyday, except Wednesdays and Sundays.
